Last weekend I had my first East mini session of the year and I wanted to do even more than I had done in the past. I had ordered a brand new spring back drop and multiple different sets of props so I could vary the different mini sessions and give each client multiple setups even though it was just a mini session.
I had multiple families that signed up for the mini sessions that we had filled up the time slot that I had allocated for them and had to open a few more spots. Each subject responded differently to the shoot but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. I was even surprised with a newborn which I wouldn't normally want to do during a mini session and would rather do a few newborn session with but we found a way to fit our newborn in with his big brother.
Over all it was an enjoyable experience that has encouraged me to do more mini sessions during special seasonal events. Since Easter went so well I'm considering opening another Easter mini session. Spring and Easter are a favorite time of year to me due to new life and the colors that come with spring. Since my style of photography is all about color I really enjoyed some of the designs that we did this year and I'm looking forward to doing something new.
